Congratulations, Scribe Writing Essentials!

While I order many pens online, there’s nothing like having a real pen store to raid. Scribe Writing Essentials launched its flagship store at the new wing of Shangri-la Plaza this March, and they invited me to be an ambassador for the shop. I had already cleaned out their stock of Noodler’s Lexington Gray and TWSBI blank paper notebooks, so it was easy to say yes. 🙂

I made new friends, marveled at the table where Scribe displayed my doodles, and confessed my pen shopping weakness to a co-dependent audience.

My favorite part of the exhibit was the greeting wall, where people could put up their good wishes for Scribe using paper and pens that had been set out on the tables.

Scribe is now the exclusive store for Platinum pens in the Philippines. Platinum’s soft fine nib is one of the most pleasant nibs out there today, and semi-flexible to boot. Scribe also has (among others) Midori Traveler’s Notebook refills, calligraphy supplies like Brause nibs and Bienfang calligraphy paper, happy Sailor brush pens, and of course, Noodler’s Ink.

Check out The Rants of the Archer for Clem’s report on the launch! Butch Dalisay writes about it as well in today’s issue of the Philippine Star. You can visit Scribe’s Facebook page for more pictures. (There’s one of me grinning like a fool in front of the Platinum display.)
