Pens for Aid: green Esterbrook J plus 9048 (flexible fine) nib.

This is a green Esterbrook J fitted with a 1551 "student" nib, in good working order. It still has the original price tag on the cap, and a clean Esterbrook imprint on the barrel. Esterbrook pens were the workhorses of their time, and what made them special was the interchangeable nib system that let the writer choose the nib fit for the task at hand. A 2284 for bold signatures, a 2556 for everyday correspondence, a 2312 for fancy writing.
