Take me out.

I am in utter adoration of these
boys.

Billed
as “the most hyped band to come out of Glasgow,” Franz
Ferdinand
takes tempo changes to a whole new level. They wanted to
make music that would turn on blokes and babes alike, and by golly, they’ve done
it. I love the straight-out blistering rock guitar, happy doses of funk, the
occasional (and by now standard) nod to mechanical 80s beats, and of course,
their lead singer has the classic Brit indie nasal whine down.

“Michael” will probably gather hordes of
male gay fans: “You’re so sexy…Come and dance with me Michael.” And “The Dark
of the Matinee” will, I’m certain, trigger many happy memories of Greenbelt
theater groping.
