When Karlo saw this pen, he said, "Ang guapo (it's handsome)!" That's about right. 🙂 Stipula is a famed Italian pen maker that likes to combine vintage-inspired design touches with modern, luxurious materials. The Da Vinci has a retractable nib in a body that looks like a safety pen. The Saturno was a crescent filler.

This Vedo Demonstrator in Onyx from Pengallery is a good introduction to the world of Stipula. It is fairly compact, with a translucent ink window that lets you know the amount of ink you have left. It's a piston filler, too. (What you see in the close-up is lubricant for the piston mechanism.) I like using bright colored inks that swish around prettily in the barrel. The ink is medium, and looks stubbish through a loupe.
