Pens for Aid: Mabie Todd Swan with very flexy nib.

Mabie Todd no longer exists, but it was a big pen brand from the 19th century until the 1950s. It is very British. Its brands included the Swan and the Blackbird. This Swan is made of green marble celluloid, and its chrome trim shows no sign of the pen pushing 70 years old.

Many early Swan pens had flexible nibs. This 40s lever-filling Swan has a medium flexible nib. In fact it verges on superflex. This pen would be most at home with a calligraphy enthusiast, as the ink flow is wet and strokes would require a light touch. It's the rightmost nib in the picture that features 3 nibs.
