That’s what Jetpens calls it. I have three or four cases by Nomadic, and this one is the easiest to find in the bag because it is a screaming red.
Not only does the color scream, so does the wide velcro strip. There is no way to open this case quietly during a meeting. It just goes, rrrrrrrrrrip.
For all its attention-getting antics, the tri-fold is hardworking and useful. It has pen slots of different widths to accommodate many pen sizes, there’s a small pocket with a velcro closure that can hold a sharpener or a small eraser, and a large slot that can fit business cards, receipts or post-its.
I popped in a Muji doodle pad, which stretched the case a bit, but still fit.
Art supplies find a good traveling home in this case. Here, I put 3 leadholders, a pair of scissors, Zig calligraphy markers, and Pentel Aquash waterbrushes.
This case works best in a small bag where it can be carried upright. I’ve panicked and thought pens had gone missing when in fact they’d slipped out of the case. This fold-and-seal style works for lugging around a variety of differently-shaped supplies; the trade-off is not having a secure zipper all around it.
