The French way.

It seems I’ve been living under a rock, or a
mountain of job orders pretending to be a rock.

For those of you who’ve been living
under vastly similar rocks, here’s the gist. Neil French‘s
resigned from WPP over the furor caused by his observations (or, as have been
said, “insults,” “denigrating statements,” “sexist remarks”) about female
advertising creatives in a $125-a-head talk sponsored by ihaveanidea.org. Said
furor, which he called “death by blog,” can be observed here and here and here and here.

I’m
sure I have something to say about this, but I’m too tired today, wrestling with
a brief that feels like a plastic shopping bag with nothing in
it.
