It’s a magical place, that blank spot in your head
where you could have sworn a good idea had been just a minute ago. Perhaps we’re
all born with a Bermuda Triangle in our brains that lures unsuspecting ideas
into its maw and drops them to the unspeakable depths of some crazy abandoned
neuron soup.

My
day isn’t as bad as Arthur Dent’s, which I am mildly grateful
for.
“My God,” complained
Arthur, “you’re talking about a positive mental attitude and you haven’t even
had your planet demolished today. I woke up this morning and thought I’d have a
nice relaxed day, do a bit of reading, brush the dog… It’s now just after four
in the afternoon and I’m already thrown out of an alien spaceship six light
years from the smoking remains of the Earth!”
