Bated breath.

I am in the office, though I shouldn’t be. It’s the
big rally day. A stage has gone up overnight beside the Ninoy Aquino monument.
The “no work today” announcement came too late for me; I was already in the
office and Mom and Lucien were on their way to Imus in the car. So here I am in
the pantry, together with the other unfortunately early, and wondering what the
rest of the day will bring.

Ayala’s
closed to vehicular traffic. People are on foot, walking towards the stage,
several bearing rolled-up banners. I might as well walk outside later and take
pictures.

Don’t
go to work. Don’t go to work.
