spritzed on my new fragrance (Blu Mediterraneo Mandorlo di Sicilia) and was
rewarded with, “You smell like soda pop!” and nibbles. Mandorlo di Sicilia is
almond with a hint of mint, and it dries down to milk and almond cookies.
I woke up at 4 and sat down to work at
my Mac, and before I knew it it was 9 and I was still in my dressing gown (which
is not as fancy as it sounds). I put on a blue embroidered dress with a
scalloped hem, and dragged two huge bags down to the car. Getting down at the
building lobby, I promptly proceeded to embarrass myself by fumbling with the
buttons on the back of my dress, which had popped open and were about to reveal
my non-matching silky thong underwear to RCBC’s morning smoker crowd.
Upstairs, with dress and dignity barely
holding together, I begged Chiqui (creative assistant and superwoman) to
scrounge for safety pins. She did, and we managed to secure the buttons, amidst
much giggling, and I told the boys in the creative department to keep on working
and not mind the peep show.
So now I can
sit down and bend over (not in that order) and not feel cold air on my butt
And I still smell like soda pop.
